GOIP-TELEGRAM allows both SMS reception and sending via Telegram chat using SIM-cards installed in GOIP 1, 4, 8, 16, 32 Hybertone (DBL Technology) GSM gateways. Each SIM card can be assigned access rights for Telegram users or groups.
SIP/VOIP and GSM registration control
Telegram Bot GOIP-TELEGRAM tracks both loss of registration with mobile operators of SIM-cards installed in GSM gateway and failures in SIP/VOIP connection with Asterisk-server.
Combining long SMS messages
You receive SMS in one solid text - just as the message would have been received on your smartphone, and GOIP-TELEGRAM itself will process and combine the messages if the mobile operator has divided them into several ones due to the length (number of characters).
Assign Telegram users to each SIM-card separately
You can assign one or more Telegram users or a group for each SIM-card installed in the GSM gateway (one or more Chat IDs or Group IDs in Telegram are supported for each of the GSM gateway channels).
Silent mode at night and/or after hours
For your convenience, GOIP-TELEGRAM provides an opportunity to set the hours for silent mode, which can be both working and non-working hours, as well as weekends. At the same time, messages in Telegram still come, but without a sound signal.

>> Who will have access to the SMS content?
For GOIP-TELEGRAM you will need a VPS, where the program code is installed, providing the connection between GOIP 1, 4, 8, 16, 32 Hybertone (DBL Technology) GSM gateways and Telegram. Data is not transferred to the third parties, but remains inside your infrastructure, as no additional third party servers are used, and all information is processed on your own server. At the same time, data is not stored even on VPS, but only processed (transmitted) in Telegram.
>> Should Telegram Bot be given administrative access to GSM gateway web-interface?
No, you do not need to provide administrative access to the GSM gateway web-interface. This solution is implemented without parsing the web interface of GSM gateway admin panel and sending SMS text via SMTP to e-mail, but fully via SMS server with two-way messaging functionality.
>> What server is needed for GOIP-TELEGRAM?
To run it you need only a simple VPS server (1 CPU, 2GB RAM, 20GB DISK, UBUNTU 22.04 (20.04)), where the program part is installed according to the instructions, as well as set up the GSM gateway and fill in the configuration file. You also need to create a name for the bot via Telegram's official BotFather.
>> Can I receive SMS for several Telegram users at the same time?
Yes, you can assign one or more Telegram users to each of the SIM-cards installed in the GSM gateway, who will be able to receive and send SMS.
>> Do I need to make any settings on the Asterisk server?
No, SMS server settings are made in the administrative web-interface of GSM gateway and on the VPS server side, which will send messages to GOIP-TELEGRAM.
>> What LAN settings will I need to make?
For GOIP-TELEGRAM to work, it is necessary that GSM gateway should have internet access (port forwarding) to access VPS or VPS should be in the same network as GSM gateway.
>> What languages are supported? Is localization into other languages possible?
Ukrainian, English and Russian languages are supported as standard. Localization for other languages can be done on request.

Finally 1 message, not 4....
We used to use the standard mechanism of GSM gateways GOIP 1, 4, 8, 16, 32 Hybertone (DBL Technology) to receive SMS-messages to e-mail, but it was not very handy because long messages were divided into several ones and as a result we received a number of letters for each part of SMS. Now we receive a full-fledged SMS message directly in Telegram.

I am grateful for the comprehensive solution.
I have tried many times to find freelancers to solve this problem, but I was able to realize SMS reception through reading e-mails in Telegram, which was not very convenient, because it failed and still came several messages instead of one long one. I really liked that the support did everything for me on a turnkey basis. They even helped me find a hosting where I could install the program code.
